Former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan met with Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq at Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad. Both leaders discussed the situation in occupied Kashmir, political matters, and issues of mutual interest. Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed grave concern over the worsening situation in occupied Kashmir due to severe human rights violations by India. He stated that India’s persistent obstinacy is a blatant violation of the United Nations resolutions regarding occupied Kashmir. He asserted that the people of Kashmir neither recognize India’s oppressive military occupation of occupied Kashmir nor will they become part of any of India’s political charades.

He emphasized that, in this context, the entire leadership of Azad Kashmir, including political, religious, and Hurriyat leaders, are united in their stance to raise their voices against India on every international forum. He further stated that they will collectively raise their voices for their right to self-determination and will remind the United Nations to implement its resolutions. The Prime Minister urged former Prime Ministers to play an important role in this regard so that they can truly make the state a base camp for the freedom movement. He also mentioned that they are fully engaged in ensuring good governance in the state, and serving the public is their mission, for which no effort will be spared.
