During a meeting between Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Seafarers Engineer Amir Maqam at Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad, the current situation in occupied Kashmir, mutual interests including developmental projects in Azad Kashmir, were discussed. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan,Engineer Amir Maqam reiterated Pakistan’s political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmir freedom movement. They stated that Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable; the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their legitimate right to self-determination will, God willing, be successful. They condemned the atrocities of the Indian army on the oppressed citizens of occupied Kashmir. They assured the Prime Minister of their complete cooperation in developmental projects in Azad Kashmir. They stated that Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has a deep interest in the development of Azad Kashmir; the cooperation between the federal government and the Azad Kashmir government will continue. Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq congratulated Engineer Amir Maqam on assuming the position of Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs. They said that the people of Kashmir beat with the heart of Pakistan; Kashmiri people love the land of Pakistan after the Kaaba, they have sacrificed lives, wealth, and offspring for the love of the green crescent flag and are continuously giving sacrifices. They said that joining Pakistan is our destination, and we will achieve this destination. They also exchanged views on the ongoing developmental projects in Azad Kashmir with the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs.
