A meeting of the Public Health Department of Azad Kashmir was held yesterday at Jammu and Kashmir House, chaired by Prime Minister of Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar Haq. The meeting was attended by Senior Minister Colonel (Retd.) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Minister of Public Health Nisar Ansar Abdali, Minister of Communications Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Minister of Food Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Director General of Public Health Farooq Ahmed Noor, and District Health Officers.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq stated that the government of Azad Kashmir is utilizing all possible resources to ensure the provision of healthcare facilities in remote and rural areas of the region. He emphasized the need to fully activate THQ, BHU, and RHC centers and prioritize the deployment of doctors and medical staff in these facilities so that people can access healthcare services.
The Prime Minister made it clear that there would be no compromise on the provision of healthcare services to the public. He added that providing healthcare and other basic services to the people of the state is the government’s responsibility. The Prime Minister directed all District Health Officers to ensure the attendance of doctors and medical staff, and take action against absentee employees. He further remarked that establishing merit strengthens institutions, and by maintaining merit, the performance of institutions can be improved.
