Muzaffarabad , July 12, 2024: A delegation from the Central Bar Association Muzaffarabad, led by President Nasir Masood Mughal Advocate, met with the Prime Minister of Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, at the Prime Minister Secretariat. General Secretary of the Central Bar Association Waqar Farooq Abbasi Advocate and Hammad Mushtaq Advocate were also present on the occasion.

Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, in his conversation, said that the state’s system has been made compliant with the Constitution and the law. He urged the legal fraternity to support him so that the people of Azad Kashmir can be provided with the facilities of a welfare state. He expressed pride that it should be a matter of honor for the lawyers of Azad Kashmir that the current Prime Minister belongs to their community. He emphasized that lawyers are the enlightened segment of society and play a fundamental role in providing justice and ensuring the basic rights of the people. He urged them to fulfill this duty, acknowledge the good initiatives of the government, and point out any flaws, assuring immediate action.

The Prime Minister stated that serving humanity is his mission and he will continue to do so. He declared that dishonesty and corruption have been eradicated from the state and, as long as he holds power, he will use it for the development and prosperity of his people. He emphasized that his sole mission now is to provide a dignified life to the underprivileged sections of society. He announced the establishment of an endowment fund worth 10 billion rupees to help the needy men and women in society and enable the state to do something for them. A proposal to allocate a 5 billion rupee fund to provide interest-free loans for skilled men and women to create employment opportunities is also under consideration. Additionally, a fund of 1 billion rupees is being set up for educational scholarships for children facing financial difficulties.

He said that the power given by Allah will be taken back by Him, and until then, he will protect the national treasury with complete honesty. The delegation invited the Prime Minister to visit the Central Bar, and he accepted the invitation for a visit at the end of the current month. The delegation praised the Prime Minister’s people-friendly agenda and assured him of the full support of the lawyers of Azad Kashmir.
